Does the mask protect from the corona virus?
Respiratory infections are transmitted through droplets and respiratory tract.
Respiratory infections are transmitted by droplet and respiratory tract. At this point, we apply two types of isolation, that is, protection method to the patient.
* Respiratory isolation is for microorganisms suspended in the air, such as tuberculosis and measles. These microorganisms remain in the environment when the person coughs or sneezes. Its isolation is different and the virus mentioned now is transmitted by droplet.
Viruses such as flu and colds are also transmitted by droplets like the corona virus.
* When a person sneezes or coughs, these viruses fall to the ground as soon as they hang in the air. As long as you are away from a meter, it will not be transmitted to you.
USE N95 MASKS
* Masks that expose the nose, which are sold at normal prices, can protect you from viruses by 30 percent, even in surgical masks, this number of protection increases up to 70 percent.
* There is no such thing as a hundred percent protection method.
* There are N95 masks that health workers use for breathing isolation. We currently recommend only surgical masks for corona.
